Razer Blade 13 and 15 Get Awesome Updates

Two world-class gaming/creator laptops, the Razer Blade 13 and 15, just got updates! The new Razer Blade model is one of the best gaming laptops, bringing power while also having the high-quality touches reminiscent of a Macbook Pro. The 13 inch version of the Blade is our favorite, as it has a sufficiently large screen, but if you want to use a monitor it now has the power of a desktop computer, with the new version bringing an option to bring in some nice graphics cards. We're going to be getting into some of the insane new features that Razer has introduced, including... a 300hz display?

Blade Stealth 13

Being Razer, they have to always be at the front of laptop technology, and gaming technology in general. For the Razer Blade Stealth, you can choose either a GTX 1650ti (4gb GDDR6) or a 1650 (4gb GDDR5), as well as an option for a 4K touchscreen! That's a huge change from the older edition where there were no dedicated graphics. The 4K touchscreen, however, seems a little unnecessary. Don't get me wrong, the touchscreen is great, but 4K is impractical. The GTX 1650ti is already not a 4K-level card, it's more suited to 1080p or 1440p gaming. I think it would be much more pragmatic for Razer to put offer a 1440p screen as it is less expensive and easier to run games on.

Razer Blade 15 Advanced

The new version of the Blade 15 is now called the Blade Advanced, and it's a welcome addition to Razer's upper-end laptop line. Before, there was only one version of the more advanced Razer Blade 15, which is called the Razer Blade 15 Studio. It comes with either RTX 2080 Max-Q and a ludicrous Quadro RTX 5000 (16gb GDDR6). Razer's new Blade 15 Advanced doesn't actually make the Blade more powerful, as Razer had already gone a little overboard on the Studio in that field. Instead, they're now offering a multitude of high-end options at GPU, processors, and display. For the GPU, you can now select a GTX 1660ti, RTX 2060, RTX 2070 Max-Q, RTX 2070 SUPER Max-Q, or RTX 2080 Super Max-Q. This makes it a supremely powerful machine packed into a 15 inch frame. Pertaining to displays, for the upper end 2070 SUPER and 2080 SUPER, you can even get a bonkers 1080p 300hz display. Yes, you read that right. That's ridiculous! There aren't even commercially available 300hz monitors! For the more moderate GPUs, you can get a 1080p 144hz display. And for the upper-end GPUs, you can get a 4K touchscreen. Lastly, to keep its spot as the most powerful gaming laptop around, Razer updated the CPUs in all Advanced models to include 10th-gen Intel i7 8-core processors.

Overall, in this new update to the Razer Blade 13 and 15, Razer is staying on top of the gaming laptop world. With beautiful matte finishes, CNC milled aluminum bodies, and incredible components to match, the Razer Blade 13 and 15 are some of the best gaming laptop options around. If you're getting one, I would go with the 15 with a GTX 1660ti and 144hz screen for the best value. However, all of these models are excellent, and I commend Razer for staying on top of it. This is how they got the name "The Apple of Gaming", you know!
